Smartgit: Unsupported GTK Theme Feb 18th 2021 Words: 101
This post is created a year ago, the content may be outdated.

I am using KDE Plasma with SmartGit installed.

The SmartGit sometimes complains about unsupported GTK theme, and the UI looks weird as well.

Instead of changing the global theme, One can set the GTK theme for a single app.

Edit the application laucher by right click the icon and select “Edit Application”, or manually edit the desktop file in either ~/.local/share/applications, or /usr/share/applications/.

In the command section, prepend the GTK_THEME=YourChoice. For example, change smartgit to GTK_THEME=Adwaita-dark smartgit. Save and done.

To find the name for the theme, have a look at /usr/share/themes/
